This charming and historic Caribbean cottage is only steps away from famous Cane Garden Bay's sugar-white sand and turquoise waters! Its simple facade belies its beautifully furnished interior: two large, fully air-conditioned rooms offer a wonderful new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining area and sitting area with a comfortable queen day bed, cable TV, DVD and CD player, a powder room, and a spacious king bedroom/bath suite in the rear. A 9-foot arched doorway affords a view from the master suite to the white sand and aqua ocean directly across the street. This bedroom suite opens to a very private enclosed deck featuring a double teak platform bed for secluded sunbathing and lounging, and a wet bar. Thick plastered stone walls keep the villa hushed and serene inside. Indonesian and Caribbean teak furnishings, locally-crafted light sconces, artful tiling throughout, and deluxe finishing touches crowned by stunning handcarved wooden doors make Shans Bungalow an excellent accommodation for a couple or small family - but the true allure of Shans is its location right on the eastern side of famous Cane Garden Bay, known as the tranquil side. You can walk just across the road to get your toes in white sand and crystal clear ocean, or take a leisurely stroll down the seaside road to snorkel rentals and watersports, dining, dancing to live music at Myett's and Quito's, to Bobby's Grocery and varied small shops. Stop to chat with the local folks under the palms and shady seagrape trees, and watch the yachts sail into the blue distance. Once you stay at Shans, you'll want to return again and again; this special place will beckon wherever you are.

PLEASE NOTE that as of fall, 2011, there is construction of a small new home next door to Shans Bungalow, which is anticipated to take about 6 months to complete. The foundation has been laid and concrete block walls are being erected at this time. Right now the crew of about 5 men are working between 3 and 6 pm on weekdays and until 3 pm on weekends. There will be some construction noise and disruption which may affect guests at Shans Bungalow, so the owners are offering a 15 per cent discount on all rentals at Shans Bungalow until construction is completed. By accepting this discounted rental rate, guests agree that there will be no further refunds given and that we will not move them to another villa. if you would like further details on the current status of this construction activity, please inquire, and we'll be happy to obtain the latest information for you.�
